BellamyBellamy Young was born Amy Maria Young in the month of February, 1970."1" She's an American actor, singer also known as producer, actor, and singer most well-known for her performance on the show Melody "Mellie," Grant in ABC's Scandal in 2012-2017. In 2014, the Critics' Choice Television awarded her the Best Supporting Actress Award in Drama Series. The actress also appeared in the Fox television series Prodigal Son (2019-2021). Young started her career as an actor through theatre. Her Broadway debut was in 1997 as Mary the Life. The Life. Some of her off-Broadway credits include in Stephen Sondheim's We Rock Along (1994) and Randy Newman's Faust (1995-1996). The actress made her television debut in the role of the character Dr. Courtney Evans in 1995 on NBC's Another World soap opera. In 1997 and 1998, she was a guest on two episodes in the show Law & Order. In 1999 , she made her film debut by playing a small role in the crime thriller Black and White and later joined the cast of several independent movies.
