Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, an American-Canadian singer and songwriter. She has released more than 20 studio albums. Her music is categorized as folk and alternative rock but also has influences of hip-hop and jazz. Ani diFranco was the first artist to establish her own record company in 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icons. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd of 1970, she was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco and Dante Americo DiFranco, who met while attending an institution called the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is of Italian roots and her mother was Montreal-born. Ani DiFranco composed and performed 32 Flavors. The song was featured on her fifth studio album Not a Pretty Girl which was released in 1995. The track is included on the film soundtrack for 1999's Canadian love story Better Than Chocolate.
