Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio. She is considered to be one of the most outstanding gymnasts. As a U.S. female gymnast, Biles was one of the few to win four gold medals at a single Games at the 2016 Olympics. She is also the first to hold three world titles consecutively. Biles as well as the younger of her sisters Adria was adopted from Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles' grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston region) and grew up in the Houston area. Simone became interested in gymnastics when she was just six when she took a field trip for day care to Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for 11 years, under supervision of instructor Aimee Boorman. Biles was awarded a gold medal in floor exercise and a bronze in vault at the Women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010. She then stepped into the top level of gymnastics in the year the year 2011. In less than two years, she was the top athlete in her field. The thing that set Biles out was her consistency her fun-loving personality, and the high degree of difficulty she incorporated into her routines in the four events she competed in: vault uneven bars, balance beam, and floor workout.
